These character shoes are from the 1980s. They were originally tan tap shoes. In the 1990s, the taps were removed. In 2000, suede was added and they were dyed black. They received considerable wear in the last 20 years as shown in the before picture.

Details of the magical resurrection: Strip off some old polish and other unidentifiable substances, re-dye, condition, resole with suede, repair lining edge, repair straps, reglue toe to sole, polish.
