Care & Feeding of Stainless Items

Cleaning

Use a quality metal cleaner formulated for stainless care such as Metal Glo or Brasso. Follow instructions on product package. Do not use metal cleaner on nickel hardware (rings, loops, hinges, rivets etc) as this may wear off the nickel finish.

Storage

Store in a soft bag or wrapped in cloth. For superior protection store metal collars in a sturdy box.

Reshaping

Wearable metalwork items may need reshaping for an initial fit or to accommodate swelling or weight change. Warm the metal under hot water for a minute. Gently bend as desired. Repeated bending or bending without heating the metal may cause stress breaks.
